Semiotics is the study of the relationship between language, art, and photography.In this work, I explore the language of semiotics, with symbols and signs to convey meaning and the relationship to the famle body in art, culture and advertising. By examining the symbols and signs used in photographs of the female body, we can gain insight into how female bodies have been portrayed in art throughout history.
